Return and Exchange Policy

NOTE FOR RETURN & EXCHANGE :

  1. The items should be unused and unwashed for hygiene reasons.
  2. The product should have the original packaging and tags in place. Items without the original tags will not be accepted.
  3. Customised products cannot be returned or exchanged
  4. Return/Exchange requests that are not raised within 48 hours of receiving the product will not be accepted.
  5. The product would be picked up in 5-7 days after the return or exchange request is approved.
  6. Products bought during sale or discounted products are non-refundable. 

Return and Exchange Policy: 

  1. All our Handloom products (sarees, dress materials) are handcrafted by traditional artisans in rural India, resulting in each product being unique and slightly different from each other.
  2. An irregular weave or print or a stitch should not be taken as a defect as handcrafted products will not show consistent uniformity like a machine-made product. Handloom, by definition, means a glorious uncertainty when it comes to uniformity.
  3. Despite these variables, we stand behind the quality of our products.
  4. Sarees with fall and edging (pico) will not be eligible for return and exchange. 
  5. If you have received a product in a bad condition or the packaging is tampered with, please take pictures of the package immediately and refuse the package. Mail us at orders@ruriethnic.com with the photographs of the tampered product mentioning your Order ID. The replacement will be issued to you with no additional cost. In case the same product is unavailable in stock a refund will be issued in the account the payment was made from or in the form of RURIethnic credit note. The credit note can be used to buy any product from the website. 
  6. Return or Exchange of products is ONLY eligible if the product is received in a bad / tampered condition. In such a case the customer must click the pictures of the product immediately and send it on orders@ruriethnic.com
  7. In case a credit note has been opted for, please note the amount has to be used in full and not in parts. You may use the credit note for the same value or a higher value by paying the difference. 
  8. Raise your return request within 48 hours of receiving the product. 
  9. The shipping charges for sending the products back has to be borne by the customer. 
  10. Once we have received the product a quality check would be done by our team. In case the product is found defective during the quality check then: 
    • Replacement will be issued at no additional cost. 
    • Incase the product is unavailable in stock a refund will be issued in the account the payment was made from or in the form of RURIethnic store credit note. The credit note can be used to buy any product from the website or at our offline store. 
  11. Exchange is possible only once. If you opt to exchange the product the 2nd time, you would have to bear the reverse shipping charges and forward shipping charges, which would cost you 400 INR.
