HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR HANDLOOM:

1. Cotton Handloom Saree: Washing a handloom sarees at home is easy, however it requires some extra care and attention to preserve its delicate fabric. 

  • Fill a tub or bucket with cold water and add some salt to it. Do not use hot or warm water. 
  • Immerse the saree into the water and gently swirl around. Avoid scrubbing or rubbing the fabric vigorously as it can damage the delicate fibres. 
  • Do not soak the saree for more than 5 to 7 mins. 
  • When removing the saree from the tub or bucket, support it from underneath to avoid straining the fabric. Do not wring or twist the saree forcefully, as it can damage the delicate fibres.
  • Hang the saree on a clothesline or lay it flat on a clean surface in a shaded area. Direct sunlight should be avoided as it may degrade the colors. Allow the saree to air dry completely before storing or ironing it.
  • Incase of any stains or dirt on the saree we recommend dry cleaning. 

2. Cotton Silk Sarees: We recommend all cotton silk sarees to be dry cleaned. No home wash.
